Soon after your arrival you will meet our nurse, Sheila, who will escort you to a consultation room. Once you are in the exam room, Sheila will ask a few questions regarding your medical history. Any anxiety you may begin feel at this point will be alleviated once you meet Dr. Barlow. You will meet the doctor and he will listen to your concerns and wishes and help you determine what the best course of action will be.

If you are requesting a procedure on your body, as opposed to facial plastic surgery, Dr. Barlow will step out of the room so that you may change into a gown and he will return in a few minutes when you are ready to further discuss your concerns. Please keep in mind that this is just part of the process and that there is no need to feel anxious.

If you are interested in breast augmentation, Dr. Barlow will take some measurements to help determine an appropriate implant size. At this time you will have the opportunity to try on sizers, which will allow you to better envision how the various sizes will look. Also, he will discuss the difference between saline or silicone gel implants, as well as the benefits and potential complications of each implant style available.

After mutually deciding on what procedure will be best for you, Dr. Barlow can also show you before and after photos of other patients who have had the procedures you are interested in, and answer any other questions you may have about the surgery process.
