Botox® is a botulinum toxin used to temporarily paralyze nerves within one’s facial appearance. Botox® keeps the wrinkles from contracting and this prevents new wrinkles from forming.
What is involved in Botox®?
Botox® is injected into the needed areas and only take a few minutes, depending on the amount of areas that need to be treated. A patient undergoing Botox® injections can return to their normal activities almost immediately after treatment. The results of Botox® injections can last anywhere from 3 to 6 months.
